This tutorial is done in Photoshop CS3, and you need just basic knowlegde to follow it.

How to make photos look like TTV, taken through the viewfinder.

This is a link to a final result:

Open the image you´re gonna work with. Crop it to a square and size it down to 1024 x 1024. (That´s the size of the viewfinder image I´ve got)

Open the Image of the viewfinder. Drag it on your image. Make sure it´s the top layer. (Your Image should be the background layer)

At the Layers window, change normal to multiply

Now you got yourself an TTV photo. Sometimes I erase with a soft large brush part of the viewfinder if I find it too much.

There are few groups on flickr with textures and TTV images.

you can rightclick on the photo belowe and do Save Image As, or you can leftclick and drag it to a 1024x1024 px document in PS
